Hello!
My name is Mandy Leopold, and I am so excited to be joining the teaching team at Lyle! This will be my 19th year in education, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to share my love of math with your student!
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in middle school mathematics at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I hold two master’s degrees; one is in Curriculum and Instruction- with an emphasis in mathematics, from the University of Minnesota, and the other in English Language Instruction. I also hold a post graduate certification in Gifted and Talented Instruction from St. Mary’s University in Wiona.
I have an absolute love for teaching and learning. I know that math can be a subject that has some students feeling worried or defeated and it is my personal goal to create a positive, stress-free learning environment where your student feels encouraged and empowered to learn through exploration, critical thinking, teamwork and fun! My hope would be that someday, your student reminisces on their math experiences and says: “math was my favorite subject!”.
