Hello! My name is Kate Hall and I will be the upper elementary special education teacher here at Lyle Public School. This will be my second year teaching. I am excited to be back with students I had last year, as well as my new students this year!

A little background about myself - I grew up in a small town in Iowa (Northwood) where I graduated in 2010. I then spent my first two years of college at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA where I played basketball and received my AA degree. In 2012, I transferred to Winona State University in Winona, MN where I continued my education and basketball career. In December 2014, I graduated from WSU with my Bachelors Degree in Special Education Learning Disabilities.

The first year after graduation, I spent college coaching at Kirkwood, but knew my heart belonged back in the classroom. For the next year and a half, I was a paraeducator in my hometown at Northwood-Kensett. Between being a full-time substitute teacher and being a special education teacher, I have been here for 1 and a half years!

This summer was one of the best in my life, as I married my husband, Marshal, on July 13th. We currently live in Glenville, MN along with our adorable puppy, Georgie. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being outside, playing any sports, and renovating our home!

Looking forward to a great school year and being part of the Lyle family!
