Hello! My name is Zoe Achenbach, and I’m so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Lyle Public School—a place that holds a special place in my heart as a proud 2020 Lyle alumna. I’m entering my fifth year working within the Lyle School District and previously completed my student teaching here in both Kindergarten and Preschool.

I began my educational journey at Riverland Community College, where I originally studied radiography for two years. I later switched my major to education after starting my job as the preschool paraprofessional here at Lyle. At Riverland, I earned an Associate of Applied Science degree, then graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 3). I’m passionate about creating a classroom where learning is joyful, developmentally appropriate, and rooted in play, exploration, and kindness.

Outside of school, I live just across the border in Iowa on a farm with my partner Braeden. Together, we care for cattle, a llama, three dogs, and a handful of farm cats. I love the peace and rhythm of farm life and bring that same nurturing energy into my classroom each day.
