Text Book: Civics in Practice: Holt McDougal

Course Outline: Civics is the study of the rights and responsibility of American citizens. This course will cover the foundation of American citizenship, the individual and society, local government, state government, national government, American legal system, and the American economic system.

Grading Scale: A=100-92% A-=91-90% B+=89-88% B=87-82% B-=81-80%
C+=79-78% C=77-72% C-=71-70% D+=69-68% D=67-62%
D-=61-60% F=59-0%

Homework, Quizzes, Test: Students can expect to receive daily homework and to be quizzed daily. Students will take a test at the end of each chapter and also a final test at the end of semester.

Late Work: All work that is not handed in on its due date is a ZERO. Students will have two days for each day of excused absences. It is the student’s responsibility to come to me to get all make up work.
