Welcome Music Student and Parents!
I'm Emily Glaser the new music teacher here at Lyle Public Schools. I am super excited to start creating music with your student!
A little about me...I grew up in Minnetonka, a suburb West of the Twin Cities. I graduated from Winona State University (WSU) with a degree in Instrumental k-12 Music Education. My main instrument is the violin, and was very involved in the WSU Orchestra and various string programs. I even have an electic five string violin that I play. My favorite band instrument is the flute, oboe, trumpet, and percussion. However, needless to say, all the instruments are near and dear to me.
In August, my husband and I got married and moved to Rochester. We have a dog, Charlie, who is a border collie, black lab, and husky mix, a 55 gallon fish tank with over 30 fish, and 7 crested geckos! Sometimes it feels like we're running a zoo, but we love our animals!
In my spare time I enjoy going for walks, hikes, fishing, baking, playing violin and watching sports. Even though we are in Minnesota, my husband and I are Packer fans! We even went to Lambeau Field for a day on our honeymoon. We also enjoy watching the Wild and Twins.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of the students here at Lyle.
